LET'S MEET!

In our chat tonight, we talked about getting together!!! We want as many people as possible to come, so we thought we would open it up for discussion. We need your idea's folks!! We think Vegas has alot to offer. Peter wants to meet some show girls so naturally he was all over that idea!! Kidding Peter-Love Ya!! It has amazing shows, food, gambling (if you're into that), night life, people watching, romance the whole shabang!!! It's always cheap to fly there and we have several California people who could easily drive, possibly together. Hotel rates are very reasonable and if we book as a group, we might be able to swing a group rate. Got a favorite July member-You might want to double up on the rooms. Two to a room will save you big money! We need to give people plenty of time to save up so the "when" is still up for suggestion. Vegas gets very hot in the summer. Some of you cold weather folks might not be up for that. Even as a "Zonie" (Arizona) it gets hot for me! However, I was a fatty last time the weather was warm!! Who knows how I will feel next summer! Me again!! One more thought- I think meeting will give some of us "slackers" (me especially) the motivation to drop as much weight as possible! Don't you think? I need to get down a couple more sizes before I am "goddess" material! -- well, okay, maybe several more sizes and a few surgeries!! AND!! We need the men to come!! It's just not Vegas without the boys!! Also- Are we opening this up to spouses (significant others) and children? I know my hubby probably will not want to go meet a bunch of strangers and Vegas is "off limits" to my kid, but let me know what you think about this.-Can you dig it?!? Thanks! C Leigh

I'm definitely game for a trip to meet everyone! My husband won't come and ditto for the kids - but I think this'll be a whole lot more fun if we just did this ourselves, anyway! It's more of a celebration of us and how far we've come and also an opportunity for some group think and reinforcement of the things we should all be doing. 3 days sounds good to me - although 2 might be more affordable. And you're right - flights are pretty cheap to Vegas. There's so much to do there - especially the walking on the Strip - it's great exercise! I've also been thinking about going to the New Orleans JazzFest this year. Anybody else going to be there? And... I have a business trip to Scottsdale, AZ on April 5 - 7 and was wondering if anyone is going to be at NetGlobal there or lives nearby and would like to meet?! Thanks and have a great week everyone! You know, that is a GREAT idea. I think we could try and schedule it around our 1 year anni! What a way to reflect over the past year and celebrate it together! My husband is stationed in Okinawa Japan but I would come in a heart beat!!

I'll be there, who knows by then I may be living there. I won't know for about another month or so where I'm moving to. Also I would like to be the 1st to volunteer to share a room with one of you lovely ladies.
