What's up with that!!!
I just saw my brother-in-law and his wife for the first time in a year. I'm over 100 lbs lighter than I was last time I saw them. They knew about my surgery, but said nothing to me! No compliments. No- "hey you look great". Nothing!! I didn't say anything about my weightloss tonight because I didn't want to sound like I was fishing for compliments, but sheesh...What's up with that. How do you not comment on a 100 lb loss. Are they blind?
I'm a sick, sick person! I wish the rest of the world wouldn't notice so that I didn't have to answer their questions, but family is different. I think so at least.
I'm a little bummed,

I SO know what you are talking about. I have a friend who has NOT complimented me once! NOT ONCE! She just ignores it! Of course she is getting fatter and fatter by the day, so I know she's just jealous!
I'm evil!
HUGS!

Hey - by the way.... YOU LOOK GREAT! I can't believe how much weight you've lost! WOW - I wouldn't have recognized you in a store!
How's that for compliments? I know I'm not family, but I try!
PETER!!!....I'm blushing!!!!
I don't think that I quite deserve that level of compliment yet, but thank you!!!
He is my husbands younger brother and he used to always try and catch a glimps of my boobies when he was in high school!! - I hadn't thought about that until your post. BTW...his wife has no boobs so maybe you're right!!

You know, it's either one of two things-
1) they don't know how to react and feel weird mentioning it or
2) the green monster is preventing them from giving you a compliment.
Either way, ##$ @ them! You look fabulous and you have worked your butt off to get there.
You look wonderful sweetie... Hey my fish are jumping out of the water to bite you with your wedding ring on... that should definitely tell you something.
By the way, my sister said, "you look good" and left it at that. I think with siblings there is always a bit of rivalry. I know she is happy for me, but at the same time, she's been dealing with her own weight issues. Since she was always the skinny one, suddenly, having things reversed can be disconcerting for her.

Hey girl!
My sister was my biggest supporter before my surgery, but now I can't even mention my weight loss or any of its benefits without her rolling her eyes about it. It makes me sad because we are so close in every other way!! She is now the largest one in the family and that makes me so sad for her! Having been there, I know how defeating it can be. She needs wls, but is in total denial!! She wont even talk about it! She doesn't realize just how big she has gotten. She even pokes fun a bit-she calls me "Malibu Channan" when I tell her that I have to go work out, go for a run, get my nails or hair done...etc! I can't wait to hear what she says when I tell her about my plastic surgery.
Oh well...she'll have to deal!!!!!
Have a great day sassy-pants!!
