I used my pre-op weight not the Day of. I had been fasting for 2 days-- I'll hopefully never be like that again. Besides, my home scale is my consistent monitor.

Hi all, I am actually lerking here from the September board. I had my surgery 9/27/05. It seems most of us on that board have reached bad stalls so I was looking to see what was up a few more months out. Depending on what you are looking for if interest go to the September board and look at what Michael Malone has set up for us. It is one of the best tools that I have used so far. It shows everyone who wants to participate from our month ( aobut 80 people) - day they had the surgery, what they weighed the day of surgery, height, surgery bmi, present bmi, goal, pounds to go, total loss and averages. It has taken the guess work out of when people are starting from and gives a real perspective on what everyone is doing..... thanks for letting me visit. It helps to know that some many of you are still doing well. On a sad note we just found out that Michael has kidney cancer and are all hoping that he does well. donna

I calculate from my highest weight of 299, (recorded July 4, 2005) even though I lost 17 lbs before my surgery date on July 18. My rationale is that the two week diet was part of the surgery protocol, and ... umm... my weight loss would be depressingly low if I didn't include it. And my surgeon said it counts. 299 (two weeks pre op) 292 (pre-op consult one week prior) 282 (surgery date) 204 (now)
