The being able to fit in the seat thing feels great! I fly weekly for work, midwest to east coast to west coast and back, and I haven't had to ask for an extender or had a panic attack in months! I hadn't even thought of the impact of my changing size in regard to amusement parks! Whoohoo! I'm going for a ride! I love the swing ride, the one where each person sits in their own swing and it spins way up in the air.

Amanda, Besides Disney I can't wait to go back to Six Flags this summer. I can't tell you how embarassing it is to sit in the "practice" seat in front of the Batman Ride. It is my favorite ride. They put a seat out in the front gate, for you to "try" to sit in. If you don't fit well they tell you nicely not to try the ride. I haven't fit for the last 10 years. I will now! I wont even stop at the practice seat. I like the swings too!! Donna

NO THEY DON'T!!! Are you serious? A practice seat? I'm appalled! I would just die of embarrassment. Oh I'm so glad I was a hermit when I was fat!!!!!!! My chin is on the floor - I just can't believe it! Hey...did I tell you already that I'm appalled? Crazy HUGS K

Yup, they do. And it was so embarrassing that I would even have to try the seat. It just got to the point where I was happy enough to sit and wait with my nieces and son till my husband was done on the ride. No more practice seat for me! But, that is one of the things that will stay with me forever. Somethings, no matter how good I look now just wont go away. Do you find that too? Donna

OH yeah, I have that problem. I am scarred for life from years of self-abuse, and rude comments, and even the "well-meaning" comments from friends and family. We ALL know what I'm talking about here. "You have such a pretty face" type stuff! GRRRRRRRR And now....it's no pleasing anybody! I'm finally at a healthy weight and people tell me I look unhealthy? What is their freakin' problem? GRRRRR I give up! I'm just glad I had this surgery for ME! ME ME ME!!! Screw everyone else! Have a great day! HUGS Kimberly

Donna, You have done SO well!! What an accomplishment!! I would have to say that my biggest accomplishment, besides being able to cross my legs, is being able to walk up my driveway and not feel like I am going to die. We have a driveway with a 45 degree incline, and walking up to get my mail would make me way out of breath and my heart would race. That was very sad for a 32 year old woman. I can jog...I choose not to because I have always had shin splints, from being a runner long ago, but I can do it. I can sit in the movie theatre with enough room to spare. The steering wheel of the car or truck do not touch my stomach. I could go on and on. The thing that I am most lookinf forward to is my husband seeing me in person and seeing the entire change. He will be home in April for a couple weeks and I can not wait to see his reaction. He has seen my pics and stuff, but I do not care how skinny you are, the camera always makes you look bigger than you are. Well I have taken up my share of space here I think. I feel good because I just got rid of the OMG Before Picture...the blue dress on my profile, and all of the rest of my too big clothes...except for my rennaissance dress that I am going to sell on ebay. Take care all and keep up the good work!!! Nickie

Welcome back! I guess the biggest thing for me is being off all of my meds. What a freeing feeling. Sitting in a booth is a biggie, too. I still cringe when we go to sit in one (unnecessarily of course!). And, of course, crossing my legs. Hah, I never even knew I *wanted* to until I couldn't! I am really looking forward to this summer when I plan on getting out there with DH & DS. LOTS of bike riding, tennis, Frisbee; just being more active with the family doing outdoor things. I want to hike more, and learn to backpack. One of the defining things for me is to get back into horses. That is such a huge deal for me. I'm going to wait til this summer (yucky weather here in OR) and see about volunteering at a local barn. I can't wait to be around them again! And not be afraid to be offered a ride because I am so big. I am also looking forward to hitting goal and going SHOPPING! Money is very tight right now, so my shopping has been very limited. Once it's not as limited, watch out! I never used to look forward to it. I didn't exactly dread it, but I can't freaking wait to shop in the cute stores and buy girly things. Hey, that's what has changed the very most for me. I am feeling feminine in a way that I have never felt before. Even when I was a more normal weight. I always felt so big (I am tall & thick-boned). I am getting (from girlfriends & support group and what few things I do buy) cute girly clothing. I am keeping my toenails painted and my legs shaved. I am just doing, acting, and feeling more feminine. And DH is *loving* it! I never even knew I was missing it, since I never felt that way. This is a big, huge deal for me. I'm glad I remembered it. It's also nice not to cringe when I see myself in pictures. I still have a ways to go, but it's certainly not that bad. The skin thing is a problem, but I figure that's temporary. Whew, listen to me go on and on. Sorry! Had a lot to say I guess. Take care. And congratulations on your outstanding job! You are doing wonderful and should be very proud. Lisa
