Getting to know you

Ok, here goes....................... 1) Ball and chain or on the prowel? Or maybe both! Ha! March 2nd will be my 10th anniversary to the best thing that has ever happend to me! I am a lucky woman!!! 2) Kids/Grandkids? Want more? (or maybe less! lol) I have 2, Brittney age 9 and Justin age 7. They are my life but HELL YEAH I am done!! I love em' but ready to have my life back too! 3) Are you a spring chicken or an old goat? I will be 34 in March, but being the baby of 5, I have never felt old! So I guess I am a spring CHICK!!!! 4) Favorite restaurant? Hmmmm, Love Olive Garden, Roadhouse and Applebees. I also LOVE Lum Yen's, our local chinese restaurant. 5) Who are you cheering for in the SuperBowl? SEATTLE ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6) Cool toys? Cars, boats etc..(These questions are for the guys!Ha) I have a new Nissan Xterra that I LOVE. Got rid of a 2002 Nissan Xterra to get the new one if that tells you how much I love them! Funny thing is the new one is exactly like the old one, I didn't even change colors........it is my black beauty!!! I love our camper too, we do a lot of camping! I also have a 1969 VW Bug. It is red, I call it the lady bug! The stereo makes the whole car thump! I love it!!!! The kids think it is Way Cool too!!! 7) What is your favorite post-op activity? Basketball!!! Believe it or not, I played in college and after 4 knee surgerys and all the weight gain I wasn't able to play anymore! But this year I am playing again and remembering how much I love it!!!! 8) What are you most proud of? My kids!!!! They are beautiful, wonderful humans!!!!! They were both "Student of the month" last month for kindness! I was a very proud mama!!!! 9) Do you work? Doing what? I do work. I am a Clinic Coordinator for a mental health office. I have always worked in the health care field, but I have only been in MH for the last 2 years. It is a VERY intersting field and where I originally learned of WLS as one of my Dr's does the bariatric evals. 10) Are you a student? Of what? Motherhood! Believe me, my kids teach me stuff everyday!!!! 11) Dream vacation? I want to go on a cruise somewhere tropical. I also want to go to Mexico!!! Oh and New York City!!!! Been to Chicago, being the small town girl I am.......it scared the hell out of me! 12) Most interesting place that you have been? Hmmmm, I love Reno. You have to understand, I am from a town of about 40 people. My graduating high school class (which had 4 differnt grade schools feeding into it) has 35 students. Big Cities amaze me!!! But, Oregon has some really beautiful places too. Like the Souther Oregon Coast (Gold Beach, OR) and I really enjoy a small town in Central OR called Sisters. Eastern OR is pretty cool too! I love Pendleton and Wallowa Lake outside of LaGrande, OR. Anywhere that I can play in the snow makes me happy!!!! 13) Pet peeves When people are not treated with respect! I also cannot deal with people that scrap their teeth on their forks or spoons or scraping their forks or spoons on their plates!!!! UUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I will literally get up and leave the room! I just cannot deal with it!

I'm a Cowboys fan so since they sucked this year, have to go with the in-state favs. 6) Cool toys? Cars, boats etc..(These questions are for the guys!Ha) Nothing, although I love my car which is an Acura TL. 7) What is your favorite post-op activity? Trying on normal sized clothes and having them fit.... 8) What are you most proud of? First my great kids, then the ability to feel as good as I do 9) Do you work? Doing what? I'm an executive in Human Resources 10) Are you a student? Of what? Have my masters, don't think I'm going for anything else. 11) Dream vacation? Tour of Europe 12) Most interesting place that you have been? I dont know. THe changes I've made to my life. 9) Do you work? Doing what? --2 Jobs. 15 hrs/week at a movie theater and 12 hrs/wk at the political science department at my university 10) Are you a student? --Yep. At Michigan State. I'm a double major studying Kinesiology- athletic training and also Dietetics. 11) Dream vacation? --Australia 12) Most interesting place that you have been? --Hawaii! 13) Pet peeves --People smacking their gum in my ear ****** me off more than anything!

Here goes... 1) Ball and chain or on the prowel? Or maybe both! Ha! I'll be honest - it's both. Been married for just over 20 years to my high school love (married at 17); however I've recently developed feelings for my best friend (male)....but we're working hard at not ruining our friendship....the odd part is that my feelings for my friend have nothing to do with my feelings for my husband (I still love my husband so much)....my friend is also married and feels the same.....he'll be moving to Germany soon so maybe that will make it easier. 2) Kids/Grandkids? Want more? (or maybe less! lol) Two sons, 20 and 16. Don't want anymore and don't want grandkids for quite a while...I'm ready for some "ME" time....I've had kids all of my married life.... 3) Are you a spring chicken or an old goat? Spring chicken...only 37 will be 38 in March... 4) Favorite restaurant? We only have 2 national chain restaurants up in Fairbanks (not including fast food chains).....so I'd have to say one of the local places...but I don't really have a favorite...it just depends on my mood of the day.... 5) Who are you cheering for in the SuperBowl? Not cheering for anyone in particular.....but we'll watch the game.... 6) Cool toys? Cars, boats etc..(These questions are for the guys!Ha) Nothing too cool....I drive a 2005 GMC Heavy Duty four door diesel pickup...I bought mine after driving my hubby's while he was in Korea...didn't want to go back to a small car....we also have an extensive gun collection.....hey, does my snow blower count?? 7) What is your favorite post-op activity? Shopping and sex are up at the top followed closely by feeling my bones (glad to read that I'm not alone).... 8) What are you most proud of? Myself for all that I've accomplished in life.....my husband for proudly serving our country for almost 21 years....my kids just for being so great. 9) Do you work? Doing what? I work for the Air Force as a civilian in Contracting....we buy "stuff" and take care of the contracts for services here on base....right now I'm working in our computer systems flight taking care of the servers and databases (and loving it...) 10) Are you a student? Of what? Have a bachelor's in Accounting....passed the CPA exam (all four parts first time - one hell of a feat that I'm very proud of)....am getting ready to finish my Masters....thinking about Management Information Systems....we'll see.. 11) Dream vacation? A tour of Europe..... 12) Most interesting place that you have been? Seoul, Korea....visited my hubby 3 times during 2004.... 13) Pet peeves People who don't pull their weight at work.....those who treat others like **** just to make themselves feel better....and I agree - those who don't flush the toilet.... Being able to walk around the town and not get winded or having my feet hurt! 8) What are you most proud of? Being successful at my weight loss. 9) Do you work? Doing what? I work as a legal secretary...Boringggg (although my boss is great!) 10) Are you a student? Of what? nope, but my fiance is going back to school for Geology. 11) Dream vacation? Fiji or (Amsterdam ) 12) Most interesting place that you have been? I really havent been anywhere interesting. 13) Pet peeves-----First and Foremost...1. people who are cruel to animals, and people who wear fur. (I wish them a torturous death.) 2. People to try to push their religion on you. 3. President Bush. 4. Stupidity. I could keep going...but I'll aggrivate myself.
