You Guys are THE Best
I read the board faithfully every day but don't always have time to post; but I just wanted to tell each of you how great you are and how much you've helped me. My Dr. also has a message board that I read every day as well; however there seem to be a lot of "holier than thou" types on his board....especially the pre-ops who preach about how when they have surgery, they won't ever eat "this" or won't do "that" wrong....It just seems like a very judgemental place right now....you guys never seem to judge - probably because we're all right about the same place in this lifelong process.
I just wanted to say thanks to each of you (even the ones lurking who rarely or never post). I couldn't have made it this far (and stayed sane) without you guys.

Oh great!!! Now I can't be judgemental anymore!!! JK!!
I used to post on a general wls board. It had many participants who wanted to have surgery, but couldn't for what ever reason. Anywho, every time I posted about a success the typical response would go something like this: That's great for you, please say a prayer for those of us who can't have surgery yet!"--Ughhhh....No support, no cheers, nothing. I felt so guilty all of the time. I finally stopped posting there altogether.
I think some people (not our July club) forget that this is a support group. It's meant to be uplifting and informative.
Pre-op's are almost as annoying as the one's that are a month out and think they have it all figured out. They make me laugh out loud!!
