Hey Andrea A!!!
Andrea,
When is the best time to visit NYC? Any thoughts on hotels?
Our tenth anniversary is coming up and we want to take a fabulous vacation. We have narrowed it down to three:
1)NYC
2)London/Paris/Ireland
3)Mediterranean cruise
Anyone been to these locations?
Our anniversary is in February, but we're willing to wait until the timing and season is just right. Nothing too cold or too hot.
Any thoughts are appreciated,
C Leigh
I'd visit in late April early May if you can in NY.
Hotels-
It depends what you like and what your budget is. As a business traveler, I am a big fan of the starwoood hotel group (Sheraton, Westin, W, St. Regis). They have a wide variety of prices. Also depends on where you want to stay. I live on the upper west side, which has a neighborhoody feeling. I would NOT stay in Times Square-- it's too crowded, loud and filled with tourists. I know my brother-in-law's family stayed at the Sheraton on the west side on 51st (there are two and they stayed at the newer one), and really liked the location because it was close to everything (8-9 blocks to Times Square) but still a nicer, and calmer. People don't live there, but it is a nice area.
If you like botique-y hotels that is a whole different ball of wax.
You can email any questions, and I'll help.
I have also been to London and Paris, and would suggest May to June for weather for both-- but London is NEVER warm.
