Can anyone recomend an Iron supplement that doesn't act like glue when you take it? One of my Drs. noticed last week that my hemoglobin is very low and gave me an injection of Procrit to stimulate the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. A support group friend suggested bumping up my Iron intake, which is ok but my experience with Iron supplements is that they are very "binding". I take Isotonic with Iron as my multivitamin but that's seems to be not enough. Any suggestions would be appreciated. TYVM

Hi Kitty, I take Tender Iron from vitalady . com and it is a chewable and very easy on the stomach and does not cause the 'binding' issues others other have caused me. Good luck!

I take the prescription iron Foltrin and my labs AND stomach have been great. It also contains B12 and B Intrinsic factor and C...it cost me about $20 a month *actually less when I order it through the mail...I can get three months for $40*.
