Well as if I need to slow my weight loss down any more in 8 days I will have to have a hernia operation I have a baseball sized hernia under my incesion the DR. says its pretty common, they are going to have to re open my incesion from WLS , then its no lifting no exercise (like I need an excuse)mBut I just dont want to do this again, and Ill have to go bac to liquids for a while because I dont tolerate very many foods and spend alot of time throwing up, Ill be afraid of eating the wrong thing and getting sic and ripping out the staples lol Im really wanting to cancel the surgery I just dont think Im ready to go threw it again, Im nervous I guess the pain is still fresh in my mind, and just thinking of my incesion being reopend ARGHHH...oh well I need to slow my 2 pack a day cig habit before surgery to...have a good day every one Lisa MJ

Why are they doing the hernia surgery so soon? I have two hernias, both about that size and I am not going to have them operated on until I can get my tummy tuck at the same time. If you are not in pain you may want to rethink the surgery. Just my opinion of course, you should listen to your doctor. I know a lot of people that were not in pain and waited to have the hernias taken care of when they were a year plus out. Good luck

I have also heard that if you have a hernia, they can sometimes use that as a means to approve a tummy tuck. Mandie

I have to agree with Nancy on this one. It's very early to be removing a hernia. You could develop another one and you'd go under the knife AGAIN! You need a second opinion. I know that you live far from convenient medical care, but you need to consult another dr. You could use this hernia to your advantage later and get a free (covered by insurance) tummy tuck! Take care, C Leigh

Well, I've actually heard that hernias can slow down your weight loss, so maybe it will help you get things going, who knows. Good luck. Sharon
