Nicholas update

Thanks to everyone who sent such nice emails. There is good news and bad news. Good news: He came home tonight and is now sleeping on the dog bed. He needs a follow up appt. next Friday to see if Pneumonia is gone, and he is on a lots of meds and a special diet for the next week. Bad news: When they were x-raying his lungs, they noticed that his heart was very enlarged. They want me to make an appt. to get his heart looked at with a cardiologist. Part of me is glad they found it, the other part would like to live in ignorance. I will be making an appt. with the cardiologist next week. Right now, I need to try and feed him and see if he will keep the food down. It is really good to have my baby home. The older dog, Maggie, was very happy to see him, but he's still a little doped up with pain meds. to everyone for their warm thoughts. Andrea

I am glad to hear that Nicholas is pulling through. I sure hope he has enough pain meds so he doesn't feel anything. I'll bet Maggie was just wagging her little tail to beat sixty!!!! I can just "picture" it!! Keep us posted Andrea.... Mandie

Im glad he's home. Im sure he feels more secure now. And you'll take good care of him too. Sometimes just the security of being in his own familiar home will help a great deal.

Thanks Andrea - I am fighting for computer time right now. Hubby's been working alot from home, and then the kids hog it the rest of the night. I'm doing pretty good. Eating like a pig lately it feels like. But still losing, so I guess I'm still ok. HUGS Kimberly
