Nicholas is taking a turn for the worse

He's developed pnemonia, and is not eating or drinking. Still regurgitating. They are worried the acid from the vomiting has damaged his esophogus. He won't stand up and is not even wagging his tail.

Andrea, I'm so sorry I hope he turns it around. I have two dogs that are infamous for eating anything and everything....and it's so very scary. Sending Nicholas lots of healing prayers, poor guy. HUGS to you too! Sharon

Mmmm, that's not good!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that he gets better soon, just keep an eye on him and make sure your in contact with the vet!

maybe they should put a feeding tube into his side so that he doesnt get stricture from the acid. This happened to my sisters dog. Her dog pulled through, and yours will too. Do they think he still has an obstruction?

No, they removed the obstruction. They are not feeding him for 24 hours and trying one more time. If that doesn't work they will look into the feeding tube option. My poor pumpkin.

Andrea- don't give up! I had a puppy who got Parvo when he was 7 months old, and he was so, so sick we didn't think he'd make it. But HE DID!!! There is hope for your furry friend! I know you are sick with worry, but I think he's going to be fine. ((((hugs)))))

Thanks Michele- I am totally beating myself up-- I don't know when he got into the plastic (or what it was) but I keep thinking I should have been more vigilant. I'll keep you posted. andrea
