6-month lab work...
It is so hard to believe that it has almost been 6 months since surgery!! Anyhoo....here is what my labwork came back as....the first column was my 3 month results, the second is my 6-month results. All I can say is that I am happy with most of it....but I know I need to start drinking more milk again because my calcium is lower than before.
B12.............315......502 (I am taking one "high potency" 2500 mcg sublingual every 3 days---from Walmart the brand is called Rexall)
Glucose.......90........90 (Never really have had a problem with my sugar)
Cholesterol...168.......160 YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
Iron............28.........61 (Started taking a regular multi-vitamin with iron in it)
Protein........5.8........6.1
Calcium.......8.6.......8.4 (I don't take calcium supplements...guess I will have to reconsidered that venue)
Mandie
P.S. I posted a picture of my son and husband on my profile...no new pic of me yet though...not much of a difference in only 6 pounds...ah well!!
Please do reconsider that Mandie! Do you know that it has been proven that calcium helps you lose weight? Besides that, it can cause all sorts of problems- not the least of having osteoporosis when you're older (or maybe even younger!) I found a liquid supplement called "Bone Power" at The Vitamin Shoppe. You take one capful (I take 2) per day and it's really not bad tasting at all. Even eating the Viactiv chews is better than nothing.
Congrats on everything else though! Looking good!!
