Need some advice
I have started jogging. I live on a cul-de-sac, so I walk around once then jog around once. Rince and repeat 4-5 times. This is the first time in my life I have ever jogged and I was wondering...Am I doing this right?
I have to go at night so that I can hide my shame...AKA: giggling juggs and bouncing butt. Ha! But seriously, any advice on jogging would be appreciated.
Warm fuzzies to all of you,

Hi C Leigh,
Well I can't give advice on jogging but I do do Curves and I like that. I'd like to jog but because of the bad back and bad knees Dr. would'nt allow it. But atv least I can do what I'm doing. But good for you for getting up and doing what your doing. Trust me gravity hasn't been good to me either and I'm hoping that all this excersise will help and of couses a TT.
Good luck!! Cheri
When I met with a personal trainer they told me to do cardio for 30 minutes and break it up ...
week 1-2: walk 10 minutes, jog 2
week 2-4: walk 8 minutes, jog 4
week 4-6: walk 6 minutes, jog 6 minutes
and so on until you can jog for the whole 30 minutes! Then also try to add incline to your walks as you build on your fitness level.
I personally havent done that, but that's what I've heard to help build your fitness level to jogging. BTW, its awesome what your doing, keep it up!!
You know, my aunt decided to take up running, and she started with the Leukemia team (they do fundraisers for Leukemia). Evidently they are great with training proper running technique and stretches. She started walking and ended up doing 13 miles.
Alternatively, you could check the web to see if there are running clubs. I know there are a bunch here and they offer beginner training sessions (see them all the time in Central Park)
You go girl!
