alcohol drinking
ok. i have a question. everything i heard prior to surgery said that i would get very drunk very fast after surgery so i would have to be very careful.
i have found this to be totally not the case. i can drink and drink and drink and i might get a quick buzz at first but then i end up "sober" again a couple drinks later. what's up with that? anyone else have this going on? and for the record i don't drink constantly. i am talking i have probably drank 4 times since surgery and each time the same thing. just wondering.
brandy
I have tried to stay away from sugary or carbonated alcoholic drinks. It seems about the same to me as before surgery. I found that I like the flavored vodca's with splashes of diet sprite. The vodka dilutes the bubbles. And I tried a Kamikazi (my new fav drink) last week and 3 or 4 make me Very Happy.....

I've had a couple of apple martinis since surgery. About half way through one, I get a little buzz going. It does go away quicker than before, but I think it's that we process alcohol quicker that before. I had a drink and a half this past weekend at my husbands holiday party and fell asleep in the car on the way home. A little too loopy I guess.
Cheers,
