Hi all first of all I want to say that I'm so glad to be back. I've been trying to catch up on the board and trying to read some posts. You all seem to be doing so good all the way around. I had alot of complications but now I'm feeling so much better. My husband too but we are both doing so much better now. He's lost 159 lbs. and I've lost 118 lbs. I just can't seem to get to that 199 lb. mark. I'm actually kind of glad that I slowed down because clothes shopping is killing me money wise. I lost alot of my hair too and hated that and still losing it but I just keep it up in a pony tail. If you would like to know what kind of complications we had just ask me ok? Well going to go back to try to catch up on some posts and see how all of you are doing. I really am glad to be back. Talk to yous tomorow and on Sunday weigh in. Hugs, Cheri

Hi Cheri and welcome back, everyone's been looking for you. You certainly are smokin on the weight loss, I've only lost 66 pounds so far.....it's been coming off really slow lately but I did finally make it into "onederland"! You mentioned complications so you must spill because we're all going to want to know..... I've had no complications except for the kidney stones which may have been related to the calcium. I'm having some hairloss now but not enough to be freaking me out yet but I did go buy some Biotin at GNC. By the way..... you're looking awesome in your new pic ....your hubby must feel like he died and went to heaven!!! ~Peace, Sue 262/196

Hi Cheri! It's VERY nice to see you- I think we have all been worried!! Congratulations on the fantastic weight loss! That is awesome!! I have been losing my hair too- and I thought I was going to escape that since I was a "slow loser". Nope. My hair is much, much thinner but it was pretty thick to start with- soo.....I kinda like it!! Please let us know what is/was going on. I think it will help others *****ad it too! Welcome back and please don't be such a stranger! Michele

*big ole hugs* Glad to see you back! And glad to hear that the two of you are feeling much better. What I thought (and the doctor for a time) might be some sort of complication, seems to now be stress related ARGH!!! That's one thing the surgery couldn't take care of for me. You're weight loss is amazing...I'm down 70 pounds and definitely feeling like a new person. I'm beginning to get more comfortable in my own skin these days. Glad to see your back...fill us in on what's been going on with you guys. Hugs, kaitlain

Hi Cheri, I am so glad that you are back up and running with your computer! Please let us know what type of complications you have been having. We were all concerned about you and your dear hubby. I have been at a stall...FOREVER it seems, but I FEEL so much better than I did a year ago. I have been busy with wrapping up my classes for the semester and I have not been as active as I used to be on the board either...hope to catch up some over the holiday break. Then it is back to the books in January. (Yikes--I have 4 classes next semester--all online--I haven't taken any more than 2 classes at any one time since I started back to college in 2001). Oh well I can do it...I want done with my Bachelors!!! Anyway...enough about me...let us know how you are. Are you feeling ok? How has life been treating you? How is your husband? Missed you lots!!! Love and Hugs Mandie

Hi everyone, I'm so glad you all posted and are doing well. I have lost alot of hair and I can't stand it but I'm trying to deal with it. First of all I got very depressed after the first few months and really don't know why!! The docs seem to think it had alot to do with the surgery.and John too. I think we did it too close to each other to begin with and so do the Dr.'s. We both had no energy at all. First I was all gun ho and then nothing, I mean absolutluy nothing. We both got very weak and the docs had to up our vitamins, calcium level, take away some other drugs we are on and get us stable and as of now weare both very stable. We also had to get our vitaminB shot 2x a month now instaed of only once too. John still has problems holding down his food but I think he eats to fasdt and of course he won't admit that Oh well he's still learning the hard way. We also got malnutrition too and had to pretty much learn all over again how and what to eat. But now things are so much better and it feels so good to be back again. Thanks again everyone who was concerned about us.I'm back to stay and try to catch up. Also have so many questions to ask all of yous too. hugs, Cheri

Cheri, I have been having problems also...mind sharing with me how you knew you were malnourished and what they did to get you out of it? Some days I feel lifting my arm is a task as well as I have been dealing with severe nausea on and off, more on than off. I am afraid my husband is going to leave me and my boss is getting really tired of me missing work, I can't afford to lose my job, so any advice you have, would be great!!!! Glad you are doing better! Teresa

Hi Teresa, Hi honey how are you?? Not too good huh? Well as for John and I we both were so tired all the time and weak, OMG were we weak. It took all I had just to get out of bed and then make it. Believe me it was a chore. The Dr. did alot of tests and found out that we weren't eating enough so we had to gtry to increase are eating habits even if it was 6 to 8 very small meals aday. Also had to start to take more vitamins and B-12 shot 2 times a moth instaed of only once. Are you eating small meals? Are you chewing very, very good? Do you take all your vitamins and drink alot of water or fluids? Make sure you do all that I can't tell you how important it is. Only eat what you can at this point. Do not try new things yet till you get the nassea to stop. Also try to go back on liquids only for about a week. My doc tells us that when we aren'yt feeling well and starting to feel sick all the time. I don't feel like that alot but my hubby does. So he'll go back to liquids once in awhile for awhile. I hope I helped but maybe you shopuld also talk to your doctor. Have you and if so what did he say? Let mre know ok. Good luck Teresa Hugs, Cheri
