The other day I came across a link to "Pouch Rules for Dummies". I was just curious if anyone else has read it and what you think. I have been following it since (waiting 1 1/2 hours after eating before drinking) and I am not feeling as hungry. I hope someone else has read this or maybe knows where it originated from. Good luck to everyone on their weigh ins tomorrow!!!!

Hi Sandra, Yes, I have read it. I think it is very interesting how it differs from the instruction I get from my doctor. It suggests taking only 5-15 minutes to eat your meal, water-loading between meals, waiting 1.5 hours after a meal to drink, as you mentioned. Also, it says that the pouch stretches naturally after a few months post-op. I'll post the website at the bottom for those who would like to check it out. The pouch rules for dummies is intended for people who are 6+ months out from surgery. That's why it differs from your beginning surgeons instructions. They really should make that more clear on the rules. It does say it, but it's kind of hidden.

Michele, You're right, I missed that part. Thanks for the info! And Saundra, I just realized that I spelled your name wrong. Sorry. C Leigh
