Are you stuck on a plateau or have you lost at a slow rate from the beginning? The reason I ask is because I hit this darn plateau that lasted almost a month and it put my weight loss behind schedule. I finally broke through it though. Also, you didn't start out at a very high weight and I think you might be on target more than you think. Call or e-mail your dietician and see what they think. They can probably give you a few hints as how to get the ball rolling. C Leigh

thanks for posting...I haven't hit a plateau yet at least I don't think so...my lost for this month is about 7lbs and it just seems to be coming off slow.

We are slowing down now at 4 mos post op. But hey, us light weights (huh?) lose slower. I have only lost 58, but am now happy with that. We will reach goal just like everyone else.

Linda, Are you exercising?? I was loosing really slow too, I wasn't exercising and I even hit a 3 week stall which frustrated the crap out of me. I even posted how upset I was about my stall and slow loss!! I started exercising 3 weeks ago and since then, I'm loosing alot faster!! I think I've lost about 9lbs in the past 3 weeks cuz I went from being down 65lbs to being down 74lbs in a very short about of time ... that is the most I've lost other than the first 2 weeks after surgery when I was on liquids. Good luck, I think your doing great and looking wonderful AND you are already in ONEderland which is totally awesome ... congrats!!! Marlize

Thank you Marlize, I've only been walking, I will be heading out to buy some resistance band and see if that helps.

Using the resistance band will definitly help, build a little muscle to burn more fat. That is what a personal trainer told me last week, so I'm trying to add in some resistance training myself, even if it is just once a week. I bought 1lbs wrist weights and when I walk on the treadmill, I'll really swing my arms with the weights on to get some extra resistance and work those arms! Good luck, I'm sure this is just your stall/slow phase it this too shall pass!! Hang in there!!

Hi Linda, I had my surgery a day after you. My starting weight was 259 so our stats are very close. I have lost 53 pounds so I think you are right on track.. I have pretty much consistantly lost 3 pounds a week. I just hope that I can keep that up. Hang in there and you are doing great!! Shannan
