Protein Shake Survey

HMMMMMMM...It's weird how we all get different advice form our docs, isn't it? When I told my dietitian that I was back on the shakes to jump start my wieght loss again, she freaked out and told me to stop dieting!!! She told me that they are loaded with calories and you feel hungry too soon afterward. I found this to be true, but you know your body better than anyone. Nancy, WTG on your weight loss! I am only down 75 pounds and I was a SMO person too. I do one protein shake a day between B and L to get in my required 60-80grams of protein. I couldnt manage it without the protein drink. I do Designer whey 140 cals a scoop mixed with 6oz of water. 23g of protein. I like it better mixed with soy or reg milk, it taste like a milkshake If I have it as a meal replacement, I will mix it with FF milk or soy milk. Take care, Donna

I still drink mine at least twice a day ... I haven't read anywhere that we need to stop it after a certain amount of time??!! If I stay within my calorie intake and need or not need the protein, I see no reason why we cant drink protein shakes ... besides I love my protein shakes and sometimes when I run out, I actually crave it!! I still have at least one a day. Sometimes 2. I went thru a phase about 1 mth after surgery where I couldn't stomach them anymore. That lasted about a mth but now I have had one everyday since. It's routine for me. I wake up take my vits and have a shake. At night I will usually have a cup of Rooibos Tea with vanilla UNJURY in it before I turn in for the night. I have not heard that protien drinks will hinder weightloss. I can't imagine why? Becky 288/225/160 -63

Rooibos Tea?? Where do you get that from?? I'm from South Africa and thats a South African brand of tea ... cool!!

The first time I had it was local here. A couple of gals opened a tea shop "Stillpoint" and they had some different flavors of Roobios. One of the ladies came down with a rare deadly cancer not even a yr after it opened and they shut it down. She died a few weeks ago.
