Protein Shake Survey
I LOVE my protein shakes and am not sure that I could/would give them up unless I was told that I was hindering my weightloss. I NEVER thought that would be an issue but in reading some of the older posts others have been told to stop them.
My survey is who is still drinking them? As I said I am and would never have thought about giving them up (ever much less this soon) but am I hindering myself?

I drink 2 to 3 shakes a day depending on how much protein I get in from eating. When I do not eat well I drink more shakes or even eat my favorite Power Crunch Bar for extra protein.
I love Isopure No Carbs, No Fat. I used the vanilla and like Tim I put in my coffee (but I drink caffinated ) It is so yummy. No I am drinking the Pineapple Orange Banana its awesome. One scoop 8oz of water tastes like a smoothy. It says you can get 50gr of protein for 2 scoops but I hear you can't even get the benefit of that much at once so I only do One scoop.
I am down 87 pounds so I guess I am doing something right.
I will drink these shakes forever to keep my protein up I love em.
Hugs and Congrats to all

My surgeon and nutritionist both prefer to at least have one good protein shake a day to make sure I get close to that 70 grams a day. BUT...
I do not like protein drinks. I still get the bulk of my protein by milk and cheese. Sometimes I eat lunchmeats, chicken, and ground turkey once in a while. I think the cheese keeps me at a stall though...
I am able to drink 2 cups of milk in about 15 minutes time. That is 16 grams of protein. I put in the carnation instant breakfast and it makes it go up to 20 grams of protein. If I put in a scoop of protein powder that would be even better, but since I gave the rest to people from my support group, or threw the ones I had opened away, can't do that now anymore...I know I am .

Hi Nancy.
I feel just like you do. I love my protein shakes and they are a part of my life now. When we travel my husband automatically packs my magic bullet blender, my protein powder, my protein pudding and my protein bars just in case I can't get the right foods.
I love the IDS Belgian Chocolate protein powder and begin and end my day with that. Yum. My doc did suggest cutting out the protein drinks so I could concentrate on eating the proper food but for me the protein drinks work so I'm sticking with them.
