Congrats, Jennifer! Such an achievement. It seems like many of us set a high goal (mine is 170) and then the closer we get to our "high goal", we start looking at a little lower number. I know that for me personally I have never, ever sustained a weight below 200 for more than a couple of months (except in elementary/jr. high). To think that I could sustain 170 is such a thrill - I couldn't possibly imagine hitting and maintaining 150! Now that 170 is coming into sight, maybe 150 is too.....
A good friend had the surgery in Oct 2003. She told me her first goal was to wear a size 10. After she reached a size 10, she decided that a size 6 would be good and continued to lose until she was a size 6. She's now a workout fanatic and is wearing a size 0/2. I don't want to be as small as she is but a size 10 would be great (formerly I wanted to be a size 12). Seems like our expectations change the closer we get to goal (I'm 20 pounds from goal).
