My Thanksgiving in the hospital
Hi Guys.
I just got home from the hospital. I went into the cardiologist yesterday over the other symptoms I have been having and my blood pressure was 190/140, they couldn't get it down in the office so I was sent to the hospital overnight. My blood pressure came down and I was allowed to go home today. (I don't usually have high blood pressure) My cardioloigst did a echo and a ekg in his office. The echo looked good (yeah!) but the ekg showed a possible heart attack, age undetermined. He is setting me up early next week for a stress echo to make the determination whether or not my heart is giving me any of my troubles. He said that woman are so different with heart disease with men that my ekg could be a "fluke" and not really mean anything or it could, that's why the additional echo. My synthroid bottomed out before I got back on a smaller dose and now I am so weak I just about can't do anything. I still have no appitate and have not got any of my protein or liquid requirements in the last week or so, but I am trying to get better. I get nauseated thinking about food and I don't know what to do about it, don't know why this started. If anybody has any suggestions, I am all ears!
I hope you all had a much better Thanksgiving that I did, sorry to throw this downer out there but I depend so much on all of your prayers and support to try to get throught this really rough time of my life. I thank you all for always being there to listen to me and for sending your love, hugs, prayers and good thoughts my way, with them I am sure I will someday get this illness beat and on my way to enjoying my weightloss.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Love and hugs,
Teresa
Teresa,
I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I hope all goes well and it is a fluke. I often get nausceated from not having enough liquids. At least drink warm tea and a some vanilla protein to flavor it. Maybe that will help you get some nourishment. Hang in there honey your on all of our prayer lists..
Love and hugs

Teresa,
I am so sorry you are having these problems. I'm glad the echo looked good...that is encouraging. Hopefully the stress test won't show anything. I wonder why your bp was so high. Do they know why that would happen? Is it doing okay now. You should get a home monitor if you are haivng problems with it.
Take care and I hope things improve.
Keep us posted.
