(((((MANDIE)))))) Big Hugs See how we all love you here. I agree with the other Pam. Most likely they were not even talking about you. However, you need to keep your head up high and be positive. You are doing an awesome job and do not forget that. You have taken major steps to improve your health. We all have our good and bad days. Just because we believe something is true does not make it fact so the fact is that you just believe they were talking about you. Anyway who the heck are these people to you anyway? Strangers that do not know the wonderful and beautiful Amanda. The do not seem like people you would want to know anyway. Mandie, Unfortunately I know the feeling. I was out on my nightly walk about a week ago when these two teenage boys started directing some very unflattering comments and gestures my way. I won't tell you what they said because It embarrassed me too much. I decided then and there that I needed to buy a walk-man and change my route!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I was at Disneyland this weekend when I heard this guy call some lady a fat cow. She was a bit over weight, but certainly didn't meet "fat cow" criteria. It was very disheartening. I think your post reminds us of how vulnerable we still are. We've all spent years at the mercy of others thoughtless remarks, cruel jokes and disapproving stares. The wounds are still fresh. These experiences help me to be more tolerant of people and their short-comings, what ever they may be. I know that if I went into the doctor today, I would still qualify for surgery. I just wanted to say thank-you to all of my family here at the July board. I got to thinking about the people and then come to realize that they may think they know me. I worked at Meijer, superstore like Wal-Mart for those of you who are not familiar with them, in the service department. What I am getting at is that they may know me from there. Maybe they were just trying to "place" where they knew me from. I feel much better today. Once again THANK YOU to everyone for all of your kind words!!! Mandie
