Any thoughts on.....
Hey guys,
Any thoughts on protein bars. I am in my car a WHOLE LOT and I work in people's homes so I need something that is compact, portable and isn't messy. I'm always -ing my crazy schedule. Any good brands or flavors out there? I have noticed that they have a lot of calories in them-Yikes!! Anyone have any luck with them?
ALSO, Am I the only one who's Dr. wants them to have over 100 g. of carbs daily? It seems really high doesn't it?

I have found two I like.
The South Beach Diet Protein Bars are good-- I like the peanut butter best-- Don't confuse them with the breakfast bars-- These are about 200 calories and have 19 g of protein.
I also like Pria Carb Select Bars-- Again-- the regular Pria has higher sugar and less protein, so go look for the carb select.
I always keep a few in my purse, because I often get caught in lunch meetings and I can't eat anything they serve... I still have a hard time with lunch meat and it is usually sandwiches.

My nutritionist told me to get at least 50 gr. protein in and go for a 30-30-40 split-- So that's what I shoot for.
