something is wrong...

Hi guys, for those of you that have been following me know that I have been sick since my surgery. I started having trouble breathing and some chest pain this past week. I went to my pcp yesterday thinking that it was just too much synthroid in my system and she did a pulmonary function test, abg', and ekg on me and said that I was in Metobolic acesdodis (sp?) and something was wrong with my heart, possibly pulmonary hypertension. Pulmonary hypertension is bad. I am being set up for a echo of my heart and possibly a heart cath. I am so scared, I just don't know what to do. I am not ready to leave this earth. I have a husband and children whom I want many long years with and I am so scared this is going to turn out bad. If it turns out to be primary pulmonary hypertension, the only way to "fix" that is tempary and that is with a heart and lung transplants, if I were to live through that it still would only be a matter of a few years. I really need some hope and prayers out there, I've never been so scared in my life. thanks for listening! Teresa

OMG Teresa!! How scary for you!!! I am saying a prayer for you right now. Try not to be scared sweetie....we are all here for you. Don't imagine the worst, that can't possibly help. Imagine the best. Teresa ... I am so sorry to read this latest post. I'm just curious here ... have you looked up metabolic acidosis and/or pulmonary hypertension on the internet? If so, do the symptoms match what you have been experiencing?
