Slow Losers--Expectations: How much should I expect to lose?

OK, Since everyone seems to be stalling, I thought I could share what my surgeon told me-- If you lose 20% of your body weight in the first 3 months YOU ARE AVERAGE. You are in the 50th percentile. ("but I am an overachiever, I whined, I want to be in the 90th!"). He laughed and shooke his head. So if you were 250 pounds, you should expect to lose 45-55 pounds the first three months, and another 20-25 pounds the next three. In other words, after the first three months, get READY FOR STALL CITY. Now I know some folks on this board are losing faster, but it it NORMAL to stall right now. And even though I myself am ready to throw the scale out the window, I keep trying to put it into perspective. I hope that helps! Andrea
