Call your PCP today and make an appointment. If your PCP knows that you've had surgery, just tell her you would like to have your labs done and they will know exactly what to do. My PCP did my labs and confirmed everything was okay except my B-12 was a little high. Take care and make an appointment as soon as you can to confirm nothing is wrong or to fix whatever is making you feel yukky!! Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

Hi Teresa My surgeon does labs every 3 months. CBC and does all my levels , sugar, cholesterol and thyroid. I think you PCP will know what to do. Hope this helps Hugs Pam

Hi Teresa! Love your picture! You're beautiful! I'm so sorry you're still not feeling well. I am doing better, but wish I had more energy without having to guzzle the caffeine. Don't be so sure that your PCP will know what to do. Mine is a long established doctor, and he had no clue. They had no clue at the ER either. My important stats, if I recall correctly, were B-12, Albumin (protein) and iron. Other than that, I"m not really sure. I sure hope you get it figured out soon, my heart aches for you! Michele

Michele, Wow, look at your new pic! You are very pretty yourself, thanks for the compliment, I needed that today!! I had a few good days so there is still hope, had lots of gastritis the last couple of days, not sure why. My pcp put me on reglan, thinks my motility needs a kick start to get working on it's own again, I so hope this works. I also had been spotting/bleeding for the last month straight and she said this could be a vitamin deficency..vit K, I think she said. She is really working on trying to help me feel better and get everything straigtned out. I looked at the labs my doc ordered after I left her office, having them drawn at work tomorrow since I work at a hospital, she didn't mark the protein or cholesterol, so I am going to have them draw extra and get her office to call those in, other than that, she seems to have everything else it looks like I need. I never thought about caffeine giving maybe a temporary kick, but I barely get enough fluids in now, afraid I couldn't make up for the extra I need for the caffine. I feel so water logged all of the time as it is. Glad to hear your feeling better, hopefully you can tell me the same thing soon! Crossing my fingers and praying! Be well and thanks for caring! Teresa

Teresa, LAbs should be done sooner... to be safe.. PCP should be able and willing to order. CBC, BMP, CMP, Liver Function profile, cholesterol for starters... But I am just a lab rat. I had all mine... at three months and will be watched closely for every three months.. MY PCP is wonderful she is very aggressive with care..

Teresa, I would ask your surgeon for the list. Each doc is different - but my surgeon does labs every 3 months for the first year. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon. Sharon
