Gallbladder Surgery
Hey guys ...
Just wanted to let you know that yes its true -- your gallbladder may be a casulty of surgery --- mine was fine prior to surgery so he left it in --- but low and behold it went on the fritz and had to come out. Had a horrible attack -- pain, nausea, vomiting and just plain feeling like crap followed by a week of a nagging ache in my right side -- ultrasound showed stones and my surgeon took it out LAP on Tuesday.
At least the pain is gone --- just having surgery this close to having the bypass was a bit much to deal with -- doc says I'll be down for only a few weeks this time which isnt too bad but it just stinks to be laid up again.
Guess what I wanted to say is if you've got any out of the ordinary twinges or pains --- get it checked out -- ya just never know what it could be.

Hi there. Just wanted to let you know that I had my gallbladder out about a month before my RNY, and also had it out laproscopically. I was back to work in a week. It was not too bad at all. Made me feel so much better when he had taken it out because my gallbladder was so full of stones he said it was like concrete when they took it out. No wonder I was unable to really eat anything. So, anyway just to let you know the recovery is a quick one especially when you have it lap.
Take care and God Bless!!

Oo Deb I am sorry your gall bladder had to be a drag. **hugs** I was prepared to all but BEG my surgeon to remove my gall bladder, as I had almost had it taken out years ago when I had problems following having deproprovera shots. UGH. the RNY surgery didn't hurt like that gall bladder did!
Prayers for swift healing and a fast recovery. Onward and "downward" with the weight loss now!
