Hi everyone! I was just wondering what typical foods you are all eating now? I seem to eat the same things all the time........oatmeal, cheese, crackers, PB, fish (talapia), soft cooked veggies, yogurt, protein drinks....although today I had half a cup of black bean soup (Yummy!) Any ideas for other foods that are pouch friendly? Thanks! Lisa

Cecelia, No, I haven't tried them. I did try the South Beach Diet Turkey and Ham Wraps and they are good. Lisa

Lisa, I'm eating just about anything I want. I don't dwell on making sure it is carb free, fat free etc... With a house of 7, I have to get things everyone will eat - so I just eat smaller portions - or not at all. Hasn't really bothered me yet. HUGS Kimberly

I am doing the same thing Kimberly. My doctor actually told me NOT to eat low fat/low cal or low carb because I need the calories. At this stage when we can't eat a lot its hard to get all of the calories we need to help keep the stalls to a minimum. It makes perfect sense once he explained that to me.

REALLY?? and here I've been BEATING myself up- because i've been eating carbs... crackers with cheese for breakfast for example. and i've had 2 subway deli (kids) sized things.. but i have been "stuck" between 184 and 187 for 3 weeks now- up and down and up and down and up again. yesterday i was 182 and now today i was 187. argh- just wish i could get away from the 180's..of course i thought that at 190's and the 200's and the 210's and 220's.. seems like i lose 10 pounds a month since that first month... but if i can keep that up- that would be fine- equals to about 2 pounds a week- what you're suppose to do when "dieting" - so maybe that will help with skin and stuff?? jennifer

I am only approx. 4 mos. post op. I have been eating egg substitute for breakfast and soft cooked veggies for lunch and supper. I also snack on cashews and cheese or peanut butter on crackers. I just got into size 18 pants last week. I haven't been that size for 14 years. Cindy in Roseville

I eat a lot of chicken- shrimp- hamburg. I try to eat vegs later in the meal after I get the protein in. Breakfast: never was a breakfast eater- now I make sure I eat a hard boiled egg minus the yoke.. to start the day. Lunch usually salad with kidney beans- cheese- chick peas- green peas. Dinner: Meat/fowl veg snacks: popcorn-wheat thins- power bars or shakes..

Ugh, I'm so sick of eating what I'm eating, but its so easy for me to make my big pot of chicken/veggie curry and then just freeze it and have it througout the week. I dont cook much since its just me and my husband and he doesnt eat very healthy ... so I gotta make something for me and him, which is too much work after a full day at work. This weekend I made chicken fajitas (without the tortillas) with guacamole, FF refried beans and so on, and I ate alot of it on Saturday and Sunday. I finished the last bit on Sunday. IT WAS AWESOME!!! This week I've barely been getting in 600 calories a day since I dont want to eat what I have, so I've been drinking protein shakes, soup and then some deli turkey with cheese. I had a South Beach protein bar yesterday, but it was really sweet so I only ate half of it and threw the rest way. I did have a small piece of bagel today and a small SF/FF caramel latte and that was really good. I think I'm going to go out and buy the South Beach frozen meals, will provide some variety and protein. Thanks for the idea ...
