Hi everone, my name is cecelia hope too get a pic online soon.I was wondering if anyone has the same problem as me, If it is a problem?I could just about eat anything I want I don't get the dumping syndrome I don't throw up, It's like I can tolorate anything. But, in normal portions of course.I'm 3 and a half months out,I have lost 70 lbs. I was just wondering if there is anyone out there the same as me.don't get me wrong this might be a good thing. Don't no!
Cecelia,
Hi! I have to say that I am about the same way at least since about 1 1/2 months out I have been fine and able to tolerate anything. I have not tried to push this though and stick to what I am supposed to be eating. I do slip up once in a while but I don't allow that to get me down. HTH.

Hi Cecelia.
Yes, I have the same thing. I actually want to have dumping so that it will help control my sweet tooth when I get one. I can pretty much eat anything. I have found that my tastes have changed but anything I like I can eat. I typically eat only healthy things in small quantities but I have actually pushed the envelope and ate things high in sugar just to see if I would dump. I actually did 4 - YES FOUR - shots of Apple Pucker one night and also another night drank a whole amaretto sour. I really thought those would have done it. But no .. I was just buzzed. ;o) It could be because I drink and eat so slowly or because I typically have such small portions.

Hi Cecilia, we had surgery the same day. I have lost about 66 pounds. I feel exactly the same way. I have been on a plateau I guess for the last three weeks and just keep going from 311 to 319. Then I take my fluid pill and I am back down to 311 for a few days. The only thing that has ever made me sick was some steak that hubby cooked on the grill. I don't think it was really dumping because I didn't have all the other things every one keeps on talking about. I just didn't chew well enough and paid for it. I was counting on the dumping thing to keep me behaving. I am getting pretty tired of fi**** seems to be the easiest way to get in all the protein. Sometimes I wonder if I get in enough calories each day. I think I really need to up my fluid intake. I teach school and it is hard to drink too much during the day because we don't always get breaks when we need them. You are doing really well with your weight loss. I haven't got any pictures posted yet either. My daughter in law took some but they are stuck in cyberspace somewhere waiting for her to post them.
Hi Alice, The same with me my pictures probably lost some where in cyberspace too. As for my intake I try to eat healthy most of the time. there's just days that I don't do too well. but I do push myself too exersize everyday. I'm going to the gym at 5:30 tonight I go tuesays, thursdays, and fridays. and walk every morning at 6:30 a.m. 45 minutes of walking. and 1 hour at the gym. I'm exersizing alot because I don't want to get to flabby.I think that I consume about 1200 calories a day.
I am trying to remember the statistics, but it is something on the order of 40% or more of people do NOT dump permanently. It isn't something we can count on to force us into good habits, unfortunately. I don't seem to dump on small amounts of sugar, and I am ok with that. I am not a junk food junky...my issue is more carbohydrates, and as of now soft breads are KILLER so none that aren't toasted for me.
I guess we just have to concentrated on learning the best eating habits possible. Sucks don't it? lol I have lost 50 something pounds since surgery. Thing is, other than kicking out carbs I really am not eating that differently than I did prior to surgery. That is, I am not eating junky, I never have...I am just eating smaller amounts of course. I think my body is so stinking screwed up that losing is going to be wicked slow for me. *sigh* I just allow myself to have one sweet treat a week.
