Hiya, It's me! I am a 34 year old devastatingly beautiful woman! (NOT) Ok, really -- been married to dh, Scott, for 13 years. We go well together. We have 5 children, 3 in our arms and 2 in God's. Brandon is 11, going on 21; Nicholas is 5, and Olivia is 19 months. I am the state leader in Mississippi trying to get "pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day" officially declared permanent. I've succeeded in getting it year to year, but still trying to convince legislation for the need for a permanent date. It is my obsession! In my spare time I do volunteer peer to peer counceling (sp?) for mom's who've just experienced the loss of a child, especially those who've lost 1 of a set of multiples (since Nicholas is a twinless twin). My other passion is music. I direct 3 choirs at my church, an adult choir, childrens choir, and youth band. Pretty cool job. I also teach private piano and voice lessons. Currently I am working on a new business idea and writing a music curriculum for pre-K age kids. It's always been a dream of mine, and now that WLS has given me such energy and confidence, I've decided to pursue it. I also sing in Sweet Adelines. (female barbershop) It's a blast and truly my outlet. We travel and compete and get to wear fake eyelashes and sequins, and sparkly pins, etc etc I could go on and on! Anyway, I'm also pursuing my Director's Certification through their organization. (just cause I like to be all official and everything) The rest of my life is spent at football, basketball, or baseball games. Or at the computer! Oh...3 pets... a dog, Dixie, adopted May 1st this year; a cat, psst psst (yes that's her name), adopted Jan 29th this year, and a *****hilla, 2 years old - and hilarious! Great pet! I love them all as if they were my kids. And now - I'm going to bed! Thanks for the thread - good one! HUGS Kimberly

I'm Ashley and I'm 19 years old and I live in Bloomfield Hills, MI, a suburb of Detroit. I go to Michigan State University where I am a sophomore, with junior standing because of high school credits. I took the semester off though because of the surgery, but am going back in January. My major is political science/pre-law, but I may change that to education. I have a dog whose name is Charlotte, she's 2 years old and she's a pug/chihuahua mix. I live with my mom, stepdad and little brother (he;s 12). I moved to Michigan 2 1/2 years ago from Charlotte, NC, which is where I grew up. I'm currently working at a movie theater 40-50 hours a week to waste my time, since I'm not in school!

I was just looking through our posts and noticed something...A lot of people that have animals, have one that was rescued, or adpoted from an animal shelter of some sort......Just thought it was interesting...this is my thinking....we have always taken care of other people (or animals), wanting to help, and now we are finally taking care of ourselves...It's about emotions and how we deal with them.......understand? I can't quite put it in words... Mandie

Hi y'all! My name is Nickie, and at the moment (and hopefully forever) I live in Clarksville TN. (45 miles NW of Nashville) I am going to be 32 this year. Married to a wonderful Army man for 7 years this year. We have 2 children, Caitlyn, 11(different "donor") and M, 5. (Yes her name is just M) We have a Treeing Walker Coonhound, that we adopted from the humane society, named Dotty. She is the stupidest dog, but oh so cute. I currently do not work but am looking. Need something that is just mother's hours, and people do not want to hire for that. I guess that is about it. Nickie

Hey All - My proper name is Priscilla but for my whole life I have been know as Cil. I have no idea why when I first signed on I put Priscilla. I have always wanted to change it. I loved reading all the post about everyone of you and really feel like I know you so much better. I don't post much as I have been feeling pretty pitiful lately and don't lke to inflick it on others. But I read the board every day. I am a mother of five grown children Three from my first marriage and my husband had two from his first marriage. All are married now and I have 15 grandchildren. I am kept pretty busy doing crafts of sorts as gifts for the children. We also volunteer and have for twelve or so years with Animal Haven Resue a non- profit rescue for abused animals. As a result of over the years fosterilng assorted dogs and cats with special needs we now have 10 dogs and 6 cats we claim as fosters to neighbors and friends but the truth is if they have been adopted at one time or another and were returned for stupied reasons and I keep them. It is so hard on an animal to be switched back and forth to homes. So when they have returned I usually keep them . At this time three are for adoption. As you can imagin the animals keep me pretty busy also. We have a huge fenced area and dogs go in and out at will and all animals are house trained. However house work is a different matter with so much hair my home is vacuumed every day. That sometimes becomes a chore since I have very bad knees but my husband is good at helping. Wow - way to long. Sorry I guess I'm gabby today. Blessings to all. P>S> We are also active in out church's outreach and tape ministry. We have a monthly mailing and the church offers free tapes on all sermons so that takes up a night a week. I also Crochet ( I;m sure that spelled wrong and I'm to lazy to look up the spelling) baby blankets for all knew parents as church for their baby gift. We have about 500 people so I have lots of blankets to do. All Have A Great Day.
