i'm ALWAYS on a stall. That scaled has moved like five times since surgery. Yet i'm down 86lbs. Everytime my stalls end i drop a lot of weight at once. Well techinically they aren't stalls. I've been told over and over that a stall is ZERO weight loss for at least 2 months straight. Thankfully that hasn't yet happened to me.

stalls- are shorter periods (like week for example) while a platea (however that's spelled) is months straight- HOPE that doesn't yikes. or maybe i am wrong.. wait.. stalls- short term- plateu's out- yeah that's right- now wait.. whatever.. it's late.. going to bed jennifer

well if you want to use that definition i've done nothing but stall since day one. i'm still losing weight though. it only happens when no one's looking. don't let it get you down. i'm told it's just our body adjusting.

Hello. I am on a stall too. I have been at 198 for 4 days now...gonna up the protein and water and cut out the other stuff for a few days. I have even upped my exercise this past week, so hopefully it starts moving again. I also started drinking decaf coffee this week, so I think I will cut that out too. Good luck to you! Nickie

Hey! Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I lost 70 pounds in the first three months and gained one pound during the next two weeks. We will make it!!! Sonya Sumrall

Ok...I think a few of us are jealous of the 75 lbs...but don't stress about the stall. Your body just HAS to adjust and catch up with what all has happened to it! I have had lots of little stalls..I am currently in my first freefall since surgery-- loosing every day! I usually loose a lb or two then stall for 4 days then loose a lb or so then more stalling. My advice would be to measure yourself during these stalls. You will see that your body is still shrinking and readjusting to the weight loss. Don't fret...it will get moving again soon. If you want to try and jump start it change something-- Eat more, Eat less, drink more water, excercise more.... Sometimes that helps get you going again. Hugs! Things will move again soon. Linda

This is your bodies way of "adjusting" itself. Keep on doing all the good stuff and then the weight will start falling off again. Almost everyone I know that has lost a large amount of weight in a short time like you have goes through a "plateau" where the body rests, then it starts up again. Kathie
