3 months out - what are you eating????
Hi Nancy. I am 3 months out today! WOW what a weird concept that 2 months ago today I was just out of surgery and into the recovery room.
I can eat most anything so far. I have had pasta (but mixed with more protein than pasta), meats (have tolerated almost everything so far except for chicken wings and I think that was the sauce they were in), deli stuff (not deli turkey though, it always makes me puke ) I can eat crispy things, crackers, toast (very well toasted) but nothing bready or doughy. I am trying my best to keep high in protein, lower in carbs and LOW in refined carbs.
I haven't tried any sugar or anything like that yet and hope to keep from doing it in the future. I do not want to know if sugar DOESN'T make me dump yanno? I find that I really enjoy the no sugar added ice creams that are out there. I can't tell the difference, honestly, and I don't know if it's b/c they are THAT good, or b/c my tastes have changed yanno?
I rarely, if ever, feel cheated by not having a piece of cake or whatever. I can usually have a bite or two of anything I like, as long as it's not sugary LOL.

I am three months out and have only lost 20.5 lbs but happy that I have lost. I am keeping my food count on fitday.com and trying to eat like I should. I get about 1,000 calories a day. Morning I eat toast and an egg. Lunch I eat a salad with tuna or chicken and nightime I try to either eat a homemade soup or some veggies. I can tolerate anythng I want to eat unfortunately. Everything but baked salmon and scrambed eggs. go figure. My doctor says I am eating too much fat and that is why I am not losing faster, but I really am not. I am just not exercising as much as I should.
