What are your accomplishments?????
Okay-
Rather than getting upset at the scale this morning (sorry Cheri, I am another scale addict ), I thought I would list every accomplishment and change that has happened since the surgery-- and then make a few more goals for myself.... How about you guys?
1) I am no longer diabetic
2) I am down two pills (BP and diabetic)
3) I did not fear a doctor's appointment
4) I have had a few men hold doors open for me for the first time in YEARS
5) I bought two pairs of pants in the regular sizes
6) I have gone from a 3X to an XL-1X top
7) I can climb the stairs in the subway without gasping for air
8) Although there are days I still hate the scale, I no longer think of it as the mortal enemy
9) I don't feel like I am going to cry if I get stuck in middle seat on an airplane
10) I finally had the confidence to put my profile on an e dating site
11) I can walk for 3-5 miles without my knees hurting, my back hurting and my feet becoming blistered
12) I have more energy
13) I can buy a bra in a department store instead of through the mail
14) I am wearing clothes I haven't worn in 5 years (they're a bit dated, but who cares!)
Things I'd like to accomplish
1) Be able to buy a suit in the normal size clothing store
2) Be able to do a spinning class
3) Lose two more pills
4) Have the confidence enough to say "YES" when someone asks me to go hiking (not worrying that I can't keep up)
5) Get on my bicycle again (have not sat on it for many a year)
6) Get down to a D cup!
I tried to keep any weight goals out of this because I want to focus on other accomplishments.... Well-Let's hear them!

Hi All,
I think the thing that was kind of the straw that broke the camels back for me to get surgury was My daughter and I took my 2 little ones to the baseball game and I literally because we had to walk 5-6 blocks from the parking lot could not carry my 9 mo old I had to let my 17 yo carry him, That just broke my heart knowing I couldnt even carry my own son, But so I guess My accomplishments are
1)-I can now carry my son w/o getting out of breath and actually keep up w/ my 4 yo
2)-My husband can actually put his arms around me ___all the way!!!!
and pick me up no big deal
3)-I can cross my legs
4)Can now buy clothes in the missess dept!!!
Goals-
to just keep doing what i'm doing and take care of my family
Hope you all have a great day
Cheryl
Alright Andrea....
You asked for it!
Here are the things that I have already accomplished by losing 80 pounds so far!
1-I now weigh less than my fiance!
2-I am giving my sister the clothes of mine that no longer fit because they are too big.(She has spent years ridiculing me for being bigger than her.)
3-My father has said that he is very proud of the progress that I have made.
4-I have regained my lost confidence...this seems to be coming back stronger and stronger everyday!
5-I have taken on a new job that is more physically demanding and am able to stand on my feet for over ten hours a day and not have my back, feet, and legs be killing me!
Accomplishments still yet to be attained:
1-I want to weigh less than 200 pounds by Christmas.(I only have 47 more pounds to go!)
2-I would like to be at my goal weight of 145 by my birthday.(March 14th)
3-I want to wear a wedding dress that is at the most a size 12 at my wedding next September.
4-I want to join a step aerobics class.
5-Buy my clothes in the misses or juniors section, both tops and bottoms!
6-Have people walk right by me and not recognize me.
I am sure I could think of many more things...but that is what I want for the most part.
Just me...Jess
