Setback
I all hope your doing well.
Sharing this with all of you. I took a fall in the lab I work for. Bruised my knee sprained the ligaments and tendons.. NO WALKING!!! I was feeling on top of the world.. Thank goodness I was 56LBD s lighter or I probably would have broken my knee. ANy whoo I am a little sad as I was all set to go full BLast with excercise... now I am reduced to an immobilizer and no walking/standing for more than 15 mins a day...till I see the ortho doc.
Well that sucks! We were just talking last night at support group about falling. Seems alot of people have this problem. Pshyco doc says that it is because your body is still trying to adjust to the new size and is still trying to balance those extra pounds. It's amazing all the changes our body will put up with and do for us huh? Be careful out there!
Keep us posted!

Thanks Kim
I was just starting to walk tall and proud and wear nice things... I think my feet went out from under me, I spun in the air landed right smack on my poor right KNEE after my left arm flew sideways.
What a stunt for the manager to do in the Lab.. In front of 5 people.. I laughed at first and asked for a Time out... Then the pain and throbbing set in... I had a new employee in front of me.. I told her this is not my usual introduction... good grief..
- Cannot drive...It feels a little better each day.. still wobbily though.. Never entered my mind that the redistribution of my body could have had something to do with it.
Anyhow just glad I did not have a skirt on...Oh well - Someone mentioned swimming and arm weights... May do that since I cannot walk or treadmill.
Thank goodness my family is supportive- they have made me laugh calling me Grace! Asking what size my immobilizer will be at next doc appt.. May have to be refitted... Any whoo thanks for the reply to my post and your concern.. I will be careful...

Thank you for the reply to my post. Arm weights and resistance bands from the chair... I may just go swimming... there is an aquatic center near my home. I was so afraid to "fall" out of routine.. But swimming may be a good thing... and My arms need some firming.. Thanks for the ideas and concern.. will let you know..
Cheri
thank you for encouragement... I mentioned earlier it is NOT good when the boss falls down on the job.. Good grief... anywhoo - I was feeling a little low- no walking or exercise.. But swimming and arm weights might help. Could have been much worse- could have dropped samples and fell on bloods or worse cracked my head on the concrete floor. All though it feels like a mack truck ran over me... I will be okay. Heck made it through the surg with flying colors.. hopefully this will mend quick! Just sucks..had new shoes to wear this weekend and new dress for Anniversary party..
May wear one shoe and decorate the immobilzer cast.. the good news only have to worry about getting a run on one stocking! LOLO
