It says that you had lap band, my understanding is that lap band does not loose as fast as RNY because your intestines were not bypassed, so maybe 17lbs is right on target for you. You dont have a profile so I dont know whether your a light or heavy weight ... I'm a heavy weight and according to the stats I should have lost 65lbs or more by now ... so according to that, I'm a slow looser. Just my .02c. Marlize

I do not know the difference between light and heavy weight. I started at 222.5 and now weigh, or did yesterday, 205.5. I am 69 years old and feel this may be a factor in my slow weight loss. Anyway, I am not unhappy just anxious to get it off.

Glenda, For your age ... you are doing wonderful!! Most of us are still relatively young, so our metabolisms are still somewhat intact with helping us loose weight and having your intestines bypassed medically forces us to loose weight too. A heavy weight is someone who needs to loose more than 120lbs. I for one need to loose 170lbs to reach my goal ... I think you are doing great, yes it slow ... but your down 17lbs and so close to being in the hundreds ... hang in there and you go girl!! Marlize

Must be a Cristi thing, too. I have lost 40-41 depending on the day, and have been stuck for over a week. And I also feel like I am eating more. I know it will kick in though. But I am thinking about calling the doc tomorrow anyway.
