Is anyone losing as slow ...
Is anyone losing as slow as me? I know we have posted the slow losers before but mine is just not moving. I am down 34/35 pounds (35 the most, fluctuating between the two) and it doesn't seem to change. If I go at this rate I'll never get down to even close to goal. Hardly 5 pounds in the last month. I started at 230; anyone like me out there now?

Yes. I have decided I must be kin to a turtle. I am stuck and not moving. I really am dissappointed. The food I used to eat and the amount now is amazing but still not coming down. I was July 22nd operation and have only lost 18.50 lbs. Of course that is better than gaining that much but still dissappointing. I am going to concentrate this week and really push harder.
Just frustrating.
Glenda, with the lap band how fast is it supposed to come off? I know it is slower than with the rny but how much? It is very frustrating. I wouldnt mind so much if I thought it would keep on and on but I worry about that window of opportunity.......and if I need to get it off by a certain time. I could cut back more but am not sure if that would really do it. Pam
This must be a Pam thing
Ok I had my surgery 7-6 that was 14 1/2 weeks ago. I have lost 46 lbs that is an average of less than 2lbs a week. At this rate it will take me till next July to reach goal. I think I just lose slow even though I follow the routine.
I drink the water average 3 liters a day. I eat betwen 600-800 cals a day and less than 20g of carbs and between 50 - 90g of protein I excercise 3-5 times a week. I do not get it but that is the way it is. Right now I am at my usual 2 week stall. Oh well
Hugs to the slow losers

My doc only recommended to keep my carbs down. I use fitday.com to track what I am eating and I try to keep carbs and fats low and protein high. My doc does not reccommend protein supplements either but when I am not eating right I take them anyway.
All things matter in weight loss. THey say the closer you are to goal the slower you lose. Also more activity does help. I go to curves 3 times a week so I know I will lose some inches.
Everyone does lose at different rates we just seem to lose slower. I know I am only 42lbs to goal so at the rate of 2 lbs a week in till take me 21 weeks or almost 4 months. That isnt so bad. Slower than I hoped but at least its losing and I know we will both get there.
Try fit day.com its free and a great site

Thanks Pam, I do use fitday by the way (ya wouldn't know it would ya)?
I think I need to do better with it....somedays I won't fill it out and others I do. I think I need to follow a "plan" more than I do and may work on that. For instance, my water. I don't get enough and don't have a "plan" to follow with it. I may work on that.
So, four months for you? I am sure you will make it. Two pounds a week is great. I think you are doing wonderfully.

Ugh, tell me about slow ...
I'm a "heavy weight" (started at 318lbs) and I'm supposed to be loosing faster than the "light weights" but I've only lost 53lbs since my surgery on 7/26.
That also constitutes to a 2-3lbs weight loss per week. Its frustrating, but you know what, I'm still loosing and I already feel so much better and I look so much better in my clothes. I've lost 2 sized already and looking forward to loosing 10 more ... slowly, but surely!!
Hang in there, and this will happen for us!!

53 lbs is a good amount of weight. I am talking 17 lbs since July 22nd. I am walking, going to curves and trying to watch every bite I eat. My surgeon insist that I eat from a saucer and when that is finished I stop. I do eat two snacks a day.
I am trying to blame it on this medicine I have to take. It is a calcium blocker and also slows your metabalism down. Who knows.
Just keep trying and I keep telling myself at least I am not gaining. I hve come down one size in my clothes and one cup size. I am going for a training bra.
I felt lucky to find this post because it makes me feel a little better.
