Hair Not!!!
OK, I took everything I could find for my hair religiously everyday. Guess what??? It's coming out! So not only am I losing sloowwww...only 35 pounds so far....now my already thin hair is falling out. I guess I will be borrowing my sons baseball hats. So far this whole process stinks! It was NOT worth it for me. I am doing everything right including working out at the gym, taking mega doses of vitamins and such and I so feel like an old lady, not 39! It's just a miserable day here in Philly. Thinking about asking the doc for some Prozac! ...Jacquee
Hi Jacquee,
Don't feel alone girl. I have been losing chunks of my hair all week! And it's not slowing down. I have tried everything since BEFORE the surgery (special shampoo, Biotin, etc). The problem is that I had major surgery last year and was just getting my hair growth back again from that. So I started this surgery with really thin hair. I am terrified of losing all my hair. Hats are not really an option for me because of my job, but if it gets much worse I will probably get a wig. My scale did not move for over 2 weeks and that was discouraging too. But, I still don't regret the surgery. I feel so much healthier than before. Keep your head up and don't hesitate to ask for those meds if you feel it will help. I had to go on Paxil for awhile just after the surgery.
Blessings,
Crystal
I just started losing my hair. It's driving me crazy!! I try to avoid brushing it because I don't want to look at the brush. I also feel you with the slow weight loss - only 30 pounds so far since surgery. I keep hoping that means my skin will shrink down some and limit my need for plastic surgery. While I'm really frustrated at times, I'm still grateful for the surgery. I'm lighter than I've been in at least 10 or 12 years. My knees don't ache every day, I'm able to get around better and I'm more flexible. I have to look for the little things every day.
Look for the positive, it will get better.
Cheers,
Lynn
Jacquee you are not alone. Everytime I shower I'm looking in the drain and as soon as I brush my hair my brush is loaded with my hair. I keep it up all day in a bun cause it's long and try not to brush so much. I also use a leave in conditioner and brush with that in it and it seemd to be working a little bit better.
Good luck to us hair losers. I only wanted to be a weight loser not my hair!!
