Hello everyone, I had surgery 7/7/05, and the last time I weighed in was on 9/1/05 and was down about 50 lbs. I didn't want to get caught up in the numbers, but now I wonder how much i am losing. I am having trouble buying a GOOD scale. I want an electronic not an analog one. Does anyone recommend the Weigh****chers scales? Please help, I want to keep better track of my weight loss. Any scale you found compatable with heavy weights and that is accurate. Thanks a lot!

Hi Monica, I have one of the weigh****chers scales that I bought from drugstore.com. I believe it is accurate up to 380 lbs. I really like it, and if anything it weighs a little heavier than my doctor's scale (which I prefer rather than the other way around), but only by a pound or 2. Good luck, Amy

I have the Jenny Craig by Tanita scale...it weighs up to 400 pounds. I had to buy it online at Bed Bath and Beyond...It ended up costing me about $83.00 after taxes and shipping and handling. I like it...although right now I am very frustrated with the my own weight...I always weigh myself 3 times each time I go to weigh myself and take the lowest of the three...for some reason I remember my grandma telling me to do that years ago and it has stuck with me. Good Luck Mandie

Here is the link so you can check out what Bed Bath and Beyond has http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stylePage.asp?order_num=-1&RN=444 Mandie P.S. I wish I would have waited... the functions look the same (4 peoplee memory and up to 400 pounds) as the Jenny Craig Healthy Track one I have, but now they have one by Homedics that is only 39.99......check out page 2 of the link...

I bought the Homemedics scale Mandie mentioned at Bed Bath and Beyond. I like it-- It doesn't vary too much from my doctors scale (+/- 1 lb) and shows your BMI as well. I think it weighs up to 300 lbs. Andrea

Monica, I also bought a scale by Tanita. It's an Ironman scale. It has memory for up to 4 people and calculates everything you can imagine. Mine cost about $110.00 and weighs up to 330 pounds (I think). My doctor's office uses the Tanita brand but the healthcare professional style (several hundreds of dollars). When I belonged to a weight loss support group (TOPS), we also invested in a healthcare style of Tanita. Lastly, I work for the US Air Force as a civilian and our squadron weighs its military members on a Tanita healthcare style. I found the scale to be great because it measures in .2 pounds not half or whole pounds....it's nice to see any loss even a .2 pound loss. Maria

Hello Monica, I have one of the Weigh****chers scales. I paid $35.00 for it. I don't like it at all. It is about 2-3 pounds lower everytime than what my doctor's scales says. That is very discouraging! My husband put one of his weights on it and it is officially off a couple of pounds. The trouble with it is you can't adjust it if it's wrong like you can the analog scale. So, I always have to add a couple of pounds to what it says. Not worth $35.00 in my opinion. My analog scale works just as well and was alot cheaper. Just my humble opinion. Blessings, Crystal
