Am I eating enough?
Hi I had my RNY back on July 25th. I was wondering if I am getting enough to eat on a daily basis? I have alot of trouble tolerating meat and seafood. An example of my typical intake for the day is a protien bar (15g) and 56-63 oz water and tea 16 oz of milk(16G) and 4 cheese raviolis ( I threw up two after eating them) that is it. I worry about hitttin my marks for protien and such Am I normal to sturggle or what?

definitely not getting protein-- Look for alternatives until you can stomach meat and seafood--
I had a lot of cottage cheese, edamame (soybean), tofu, yougurt and mil****il I could handle other stuff. Also try some LOW FAT cheese, the ravioli has pasta, and that expands in your stomach, and the cheese might be too high in fat.
Like you.. Im not a big eater and I cant tolerate any kind of meat. This is my typical meal plan
B 1/2 piece of whole wheat toast w/1/2 tbsp of Peanutbutter(4g)
S Nectar protein drink(23)
L 1/2 to 1/4 SB meal replacement bar & 4oz of ff/sf yougurt(9)
S Unjury Protien shake( 34)
D Capris Salad ( fresh/soft mozzarella,tomatoes,& Valsemic Vinager)(10)
S 1/2 an apple and 1/2 tbso if peanut butter. (2)
only about 40 oz of water
* 1 hour step aerobics 4x week

Why don't you try eating some chili (either homemade or Dennison's Fat Free) instead of the ravioli. Ravioli is ok once in a great while, but not on a regular basis. As Andrea said, it's pasta (it's processed to death and I doubt that mush could expand but I digress ) and the cheese is probably....um....fake. The less processed your food the better. Milk is good but it has a lot of sugar.
I don't know why some people struggle, I feel bad for you. I don't really have any problems with food. Just keep hanging in there though!
