Is My Eating OUT OF CONTROL?

Leem, I think these are the MOST IMPORTANT things to talk about. We all know what we should do; what we don't know is why it is so hard for us to do them. This wonderful tool is giving us the "window of opportunity" to establish new habits so that when we can eat 'normally' again, we won't feel the need to return to bad habits. SO FOR US, IT'S TIME TO EXPLORE OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD, and the reasons we have made it such a friend. I wonder of we have to go through the stages of grieving, and some of us are now in the anger / denial stage? We can already eat so many foods, and we will have no trouble eating other types in the months ahead. So, in fact, the only thing that will keep us from returning to our old habits will be our choices. Good luck and know that only You can truly take care of You, frances

Hey you all - I, too, am having this problem. I get so mad at myself sometimes b/c I feel I am so blessed to have this surgery, when so many keep suffering with weight gain in the "real world." It seems my emotions are running the gamut lately and I don't know why. I am also looking into seeing a therapist for this. I was physically, mentally, and sexually abused as a child. It is telling that many of us have had this problem. I am thankful for all of you.
