WHAT TO EAT???
No guilt pasta- Barilla makes an angel hair pasta that is made with whole grains and legumes- and even has Omega 3 fatty acids in it- 10gr of protein per serving! I made some the other night for my family with tomato sauce, and then for me I put some "I can't believe it's not butter" garlic and herb spray on it, and added some parmesan cheese. Yum!!
Whew, I thought I might be the only one. Mine should start anywhere in the next few days, and I have been more hungry than normal. I feel like I am on a scavenger hunt looking for food. Sure isn't like before when I would be able to eat anything, now I have to look for good choices, but then again I guess that is what this surgery is all about ...Our new (life) choices...
I know my weight loss will come to a halt this week, I have already started to retain water...stuck at 374...oh well, this too shall pass...

I eat 2% cheese and reduced fat Club crackers that is my number one snack. I get the protein and carbs in both. I also like Southbeach diet cereal bars(Maple nut is the best) 10grams protein. I only drink water or occasionally crystal light. Tropicana has a can drink out no carbs, no sugar, no caffeine. There are 3 flavors, Orange, Fruit punch, and Lemonade. Try them for a change of pace. Good luck!
I cook big pots of turkey/veggie chili and chicken/veggie curry and then eat it throughout the day and week.
I try to cook most of my food, so the soduim isnt as much, but once in awhile I'll open a can of soup and I enjoy refried beans with cheese, salsa and sour cream. The only time I explored with fast food was when I ate the inside of a chicken ranchero soft taco. I threw the tortilla away, but oh boy, the insides were so good and it didnt make me dump.
I tried fish, made me dump horribly so I wont try that again. I'm still scared of red meat so mostly I'm sticking to chicken and turkey.
I also try to get in 2 protein shakes a day (my fave is the nectar) and then I like to eat FF sourcream with almost everything. Adds a little flavor to it.

I really haven't had much trouble eating most anything, but I'm fanatical about keeping my sugars below 8 grams, and my carbs down. Sometimes I just get tired of it all, constantly pushing to get enough protein, enough fluid, keep the protein up, the carbs down.
I use alot of Crystal Light, South Beach cereal bars (Maple Nut and Cinnamon Raisin), mozzarella cheese, tuna fish. The candy jar on my desk at work that used to be full of chocolates, is now holding sunflower seeds, that I nibble on during the day. I also keep beef jerky in my desk for an afternoon protein snack.
My mind thinks of things I would like to eat, but in reality, I'm just frustrated with eating in general.
