Feeling like a slow loser again because the scale hasn't really moved in 2 weeks again, and I went way back on the July 2004 board when they were around 3 months out. Again, over and over I hear the same thing- SLOW LOSER, but they go on to reach their goals!!! Read on! http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=M1080095664 Boy, this lady is GORGEOUS! Hard to believe she ever was even overweight, let alone obese. And she had a 7 week plateau early on! http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=N1075822874 http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=s1073697607 This one got pregnant at 3 months out and continued to lose her whole pregnancy- being 9 pounds from goal when the (healthy) baby was born! http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/members/profile.php?N=U1071601864 Slower loss than even us slow losers here- but at one year she was down 100 pounds! http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/07-2004/postdetail/13589.html?vc=0 The title of this post is "slow and steady wins the race".... sounds sooooo familiar! Ok guys! I have just posted a few profiles, there are many, many more. I guess I am reassuring myself- but thought I'd think out loud to you all because I KNOW that some of us get so down thinking this won't work for us (why will we be the ONLY one that it won't? We're not that special! ) Any time I get bummed about losing slowly, I am going to go way back to when the one year post ops were where we are now and I always feel much better! Hope you do too!

Slow and Steady Wins the Race? I thought that was my line! Thanks Michelle for doing your investigative work. It does make me feel better. I have only lost 35 pounds so far so I needed to read those. Although reading about their hair falling out, I'm still hoping (beyond hope?) that mine won't fall out. ...Jacquee

Those were very inspirational. I get down sometimes. Seems when I read here online I get down the most. And I know that isn't how it's suppose to be. But I have lost 45 lbs. So when I am not reading about how everyone is loosing faster than me... I am happy and excited about my loss. So I am afraid reading online less may be my solution. But I am so glad you posted this! I am really feeling great about my loss and looking foward to the rest of this next year to see what it brings me! Hugs, Linda
