12 weeks ago today...

Hi Everyone-It was just 12 weeks ago today that I had my open RNY. Even though I am a "slow loser" my life has changed so much for the better. I'm not afraid of sitting in a fold up chair or riding on a bus. I can go on walks without severe pain. I can go shopping now and actually walk through the mall or store. Going to the grocery store is something I can do. I can play outside with the grandkids. I actually want to go places now instead of staying home. As of today, I have lost 47.7 lbs but have gained a whole new life. I am so glad I had this surgery. Take care, joyce

Joyce, Isn't it amazing what just a little weight loss will do for ya? I've lost about the same and I didn't expect to feel this great yet. Life is good. I also love going out - even love getting dressed everyday! Something that before WLS, I only did if I had to. I am cleaning my house everyday, and just generally have SO much more self esteem. It's great to be a looser! Kudos to you! HUGS Kimberly
