Slow Losers + everyone

Just wanted to show you guys this. I didn't post on the slow losers board, but am really only a few (3) pounds over the 50 pound cut off. (I think Michelle was purposely shutting me out!) JUST KIDDING! If you go to this calculator and put in your beginning weight and figure how much percentage (I did 100%) of excess weight you'd like to lose, it will chart it all out for you. It's just an average of WLS patients... BUT - it shows that we are all pretty much on target, and maybe even a little ahead of the game. I think we all (myself included) expect too much. We are quite used to being hard on ourselves - at least I am. I never felt like I was doing "enough" in anything! Especially when it came to my weight. This surgery has given me a feeling of success that has outstretched to other aspects of my life. It's INCREDIBLE! Here's the link to the calculator: hope this helps! http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/information/post+op+planner.php HUGS Kimberly

Oh, I sooo was not trying to exclude you! I should have said "anyone who feels down about being a "slow loser". I was feeling pretty good until I looked at that chart though. It suggested that I will have lost 48 pounds at 2 months and I've only lost 38 in 10 weeks. Boooo hoooo hoooo. HOWEVER! There is hope. The chart on my profile shows me as being way ahead of schedule for losing 120 pounds by my first year. I won't be too bummed if I don't, as long as there has been steady progress. That chart had me losing it in 18 months. Now when my profile chart starts looking askew, I'm gonna get depressed again. I think this weight loss game encompasses all of our hopes and dreams, and is so tied in to past failures, that we wanna know "Are we going to finally lose this fat this time?" and we want to know NOW. But we have to be patient and just wait and see I guess.

Hi Kimberly, I really liked the weight loss planner you put on your post. I'm not complaining about my weight loss since I'm over the 50 lb. mark. I'm not bragging or anythingLOL..But I kind of know how you guys feel. Look at all the weight my husband lost and he had his surgery 12 days after me. So I kind of do know what it feels like anyway. I also believe like you said Kim about us being hard on ourselfes because I have been like that for many years. Have a good day ladies. Cheri P.S. I'm almost just plain ole obese It says that I have to lose 74 more lbs. Curves says I need to lose 80. Either one I'll take it.

That depressed me so much!! It shows I'm not on schedule and I'm 15lbs behind what I should be!! Thats it, from now on ... its 2 hours of exercising a day and no more eating!! Seriously though, its my own fault, I need to exercise ... it makes me sad, but puts things into perspective!! I'm the ultimate slow looser!!
