I have lost 42 lbs post op - surgery daye 7-6-05 (11.5 weeks 3.5 lbs a week) total weight loss 66 lbs. I lost 24 lbs pre op. I am very happy with the numbers. I am doing everything I can do so no matter if I lose slow one week and fast another its the big number that counts. Everyone is doing great. I am very happy I had the surgery because I know my weight would not be going down today without this wonderful tool.

My surgery was July 11th and as of today I'm down 40 lbs. But what is more exciting is yesterday I went to the doctor and she measured me and my waist is 10inches smaller and my butt is 6 inches smaller. I think I'm losing slowly and I get depressed but I'm still lighter then where I was 2 1/2 months ago!

You all are doing fantastic! I can't believe that just 2 months ago we were all waiting to have this surgery and now look at us! I am extremely pleased with my weight loss. I was just curious as to how everyone else was doing. It's so exciting to see how we all are getting closer and closer to our goals and dreams. I feel like I could run a marathon right now. I was telling my husband yesterday that I have literally lost 2 of my 2 year olds...How awesome is that! LOL

Tomorrow will be 9 weeks post op and I have lost 39-40 lbs. Im 5'2 and started out at 226... not sure if the people who have lost less weight started out smaller??? That could be part of the reason...who knows.... but it seems like more than 1/2 that responded are in the 30's-low 40's range... so I guess were not doing too bad. Hang in there Aly

Well I am 5'7" and I started out at 268 (surgery day) so the smaller theory doesn't work for me. But you know, you're right- there are a lot of us here that feel like we're losing "slowly"--- so we must be doing ok!

everytime I answer that question i hear women growling and they scream, "that's why we hate men!" at me. that being said i still have over 150lbs left to lose so it feels like it's going slow. i guess i'm right on track but i have to do some traveling next month and would really like to lose another 20lbs at least by then. but somehow i think i'll be lucky to have lost just another 10.

Today is Tuesday the 27th and I'm officially 10 weeks post-op. I have lost 32 pounds since surgery, 46 pounds since June 18th, and 86 pounds total. Of course who wouldn't want to lose more quickly, but I'm pleased with my progress. Pam M.
