Hey there Tessa! You are doing awesome girl...keep up the good work! I can relate to your trouble with getting in the protein. I am trying really hard to be consistent with it. I have lost a total of 62 lbs. since my surgery date. I usually lose about 2-3 pounds every couple of days or so. I haven't really had any long stalls. I guess I am fortunate there. Keep it up! Just me...Jess

No kidding Pam! I've lost 37 pounds. I just don't get it when people are complaining about "ONLY" losing 60 pounds in 2 months! - it makes me want to cry!! But I'm fine with where I am. Men are going to lose more quickly because they have more muscle and muscle burns fat even when you're not active. That's why.

ooh boy, I wasn't speaking of anyone in this thread, or even anyone in particular. I realized that it probably sounded like I was and I soooooo wasn't. Please don't take offense anyone.

I don't think anyone took offense. I know what you mean. We would love to be at just 60. To us 60 is sooo much because we are in the 30's, but to some of them the 80's are sooo much because they are in the 60's, and it just goes on. Eventually, when we 'slower' losers get to the 60's it will be sooo cool and then there will be others who are where we were in the 30's. Does any of this make sense?? Im just glad I am not in the boat alone so that I will not feel so abnormal I think we know we will get there sometime. And I am so thrilled just to be where I am. I went shopping yesterday and went down a size in some pants that I like!!!! They are by a brand called Flax, and they are linen; I buy them all the time in a style called floods. They are so comfortable and cool in the spring, summer and fall (Piedmont, North Carolina extended summer). Anyway, they come in small, medium and large, and also "generous sizes". Well, I always wear the large in the pants and a large or 1g in some of the tops. I have bought two pair this week in medium!!!! They look good too!! Now, I wouldn't wear a medium in another brand but these run a little bigger I think. They also have an elastic waist. It felt good though to go down a size It's those little things.....Pam

Wouldn't it be fun to really compare and try to figure out why some of us lose slowly? I was thinking it was my age (47) but I've seen others older than me who lose faster. I just can't seem to come up with anything! It seems to be easier to accept when you don't seem to be "average"- when you have a reason! Congrats on the pants! I started in size 24, and my old favorite jeans are way too big now. I can squeeze into my other old favorite size 20's- if I don't mind not being able to breathe or sit down! I can't wait until I have to BUY a new favorite pair in size 16!! I don't have any of those!

I had my surgery on 7/27 (8 weeks out) and I have lost 44lbs. It is so interesting to see the different stages we are all in. I think we are all doing fantastic!!! I think the protein is a problem for a lot of us. I also can't stand eating sometimes. ( I would have NEVER guessed I would ever say that!!!) Keep up the good work everyone and just remember all that weight is gone forever!!!
