Think you have it hard?

Think again. One of our members (from the California board) passed away this evening... John Ott had surgery 2 days ago and developed complications. I am so sad, this i****ting so close to home. I'll gladly take my "slow" weight loss anyday. At least I have a chance.

Michele, I just read that and I am in tears. I can't quit sobbing. His poem just spoke volumes to my heart and made me realize that it could have been any of us. My heart goes out to you and all that knew him. He was very loved and was a powerful soul. HUGS

That is SO sad. It doe**** close to home. Same thing happened on the MS board a few months before my surgery. I will be keeping his family in my prayers. *sigh* HUGS Kimberly

Michele-It is indeed a very sad day. I'm with you on the weight loss. I consider myself a slow loser as well. I have only lost 45 lbs but more importantly I can walk again without severe pain and I am alive. My heart goes out to all of John's friends and family. God bless, joyce

Michele my heart goes out to his family and to all who knew him and loved him. I have not read things like this related to the WLS or even weight problems by itself. Maybe I should take some time and read. I too am losing slow but we have a chance. :sigh: What else can we say. God bless his family and please give them the support they'll need to get through this.
