Hi there girls. Been a while since I posted. I have been in the process of moving to Japan. We are now here and settled. I have lost 63 lbs since my surgery which was July 19th. I feel ecstatic with everything and have not had one problem. However, I am never hungry and when I do eat its like I start gagging because I don't really want to be eating. I only eat about once or twice a day and I know this needs to stop and stop like yesterday. What are you guys eating and how much? I don't think that I can eat an ounce. The other day we were out and I HAD to eat something and that something was a hard shell taco from Taco Bell. I couldn't even eat half of it. Pasta's don't cut it at all, except angel hair, because its like if I can't chew it enough so that the pieces don't get stuck it comes right back up. When I do eat, everything goes down pretty easily the thing that is getting me is not ever wanting to eat and things not tasting good when I do. Minimum vomiting, nothing extreme. Please give me some food ideas...this is so frustrating!

I actually have been staying away from breads and pasta and rice... It expands in your stomach. I used to live in Japan, and there are a lot of options for you-- tofu with soy sauce, grilled fish, sashimi, eggs, cooked vegetables, cut up fruit (melon, stawberries etc.). These are really healthy options and your pouch should accept them easier. Best of luck and have fun in Japan!

Tessa, I know where you are coming from. I don't eat much at all either. I'm never hungry. When I do eat, it's literally a bite or two and that's all. I am beginning to feel hungry at times, but I am full after 1 bite. I'm so tired of drinking my protein! It will get better - Promise! HUGS Kimberly Sorry I don't have any food ideas!

Hi Tessa, I am having the same problem. If I had my way I would only eat every few days. I do not allow myself to eat anything except protein because I know I need it and don't eat enough to get what I really need. I have found a couple things that seem to work ok for me. I can eat 3 slices of pre-cooked bacon. It is a little high in fat but my nutritionist says to eat anything so that I at least get some food in me. It has 5 grams of protein. I also can eat about 2-3 oz of yogart. The one other life saver is low fat block cheddar cheese. It is 75% fat free and has 9 grams of protein in an ounce. The package has the block marked off so that you can cut an ounce. It takes me a while to get it all down but at least I do. I try to eat other things. Sometimes I will think I am hungry for something and get really excited and make it and then ... 1 or 2 small. bites and I am done. I am able to eat 1/4 cup or under of anything. I literally never eat more than about 3-4 bites of anything other than the 3 things I mentioned above. It really worries me that I can't eat more. My husband is really concerned. I figure that I will eventually get my appetite back. Good luck! Shellie

Ugh, I wish I could say the same ... I still enjoy eating, luckily its not much. I'm still on the pureed/smush stage until my 3 month checkup so I make big pots of turkey/veggie chilli and chicken/veggie curry, make is saucy and smushy and I can eat up to 4oz every 3 hours or more depending on how hungry I am. I not sure how I'll do once I start eating regular solid foods, but for now, I'm enjoying that I can eat and that I actually like what I eat. Hang in there, I'm sure it will get better, and just think of the wonderful weight loss you are experiencing. I would suggest though trying to eat more than once or twice a day ... your metabolish needs to kick-start so it doesnt think that its starving!! Again ... GOOD LUCK!! Marlize
