Cinderella at the Ball

Saturday night is a big benefit function in our town.... My husband and I are going - he rented a tux and I am supposed to get a ball gown. (We haven't been ANYwhere in months and months!) You know, you get busy with work and family and kind of let the rest fall by the wayside...) Anyhoo, I went to 3 stores today and can't find a dress that fits right at all! The ones that fit in the waist are all floppy in the boobs! And the ones that fit the chest are all saggy in the waist. Oh. Jeez!!! I have until Friday to find a burgundy or black dress in town. I can't wait to go attend the ball though. It'll be so romantic and so wonderful to be with him. I can't wait to dance and I can't wait to post pictures here afterward!!! I am getting all glossy eyed in my 40-year old old age! Teehee!!! ANyone got some good tips for going to the ball or a formal occasion like this? The last one I went to was a wedding reception 9 years ago. We don't know a soul who is going to this one! I'm pretty nervous (in a good way!)

It sounds absolutely wonderful! Wish I could go! The only tips I have are.... Mind your manners! Forks on the left, drinks on the right -- or wait.... I would find a dress you love and have it taylored. It won't take much to nip in the waist or bust. Nothing ever fits me right either. Good luck! Debra
