You've heard it before......
Pam
I had my surgery 5 days after you and have only lost 26 pounds. I am eating most everything, keeping carbs low, I take in probably 800-900 cal/day and get about 60 gm of protein, I was concerned but my nutristionist says everyone is different and like I saw in another post loosing it slow does have some advantages. I saw an exercise physiologist who has me walking 15 min/day. I know I need tostart to increase my exersice. Hang in there remember we are on the loosing side forever...
Good Luck

Hi Pam;
I actually have heard of ONE person who stopped losing at 2 months out. It's very scary to think about.
I am a "slow loser" too (30 pounds since surgery) and it can really get you down. But, what everyone else said is true too. We won't have as much loose skin to deal with. I don't know about you, but I am convinced that my age has something to do with it- I'm 47. Besides the fact that I'm in pre-menopause. My hormones must be scrambling inside!!
My nurse said to keep it under 1,000 calories per day. I told my surgeon that I average 600-700 per day, and he said that is too low. Also- I'm shocked to hear so many people on this thread who only get in 15 or so protein grams per day....don't y'all like protein shakes? That is soooo, soooo important!! I use Unjury and I have no problems with it. Also, beef jerky is a great source of protein, as is low or no fat cottage cheese. I average about 65 grams of protein a day. They say that to really kick start your weight loss, get in over 100 grams of protein and 100 oz. of water per day.
Well, I hope this was somewhat helpful.
